
Check the shirt's care label for the iron symbol. One dot means low (110°C, synthetics). Two dots mean medium (150°C, poly-cotton blends). Three dots mean high (200°C, 100% cotton or linen). Set the dial before the iron heats up.
Fill the iron's water tank with distilled water if you plan to use steam. Tap water deposits minerals inside the steam vents over time, and those white flakes end up on your shirt. If you only have tap water, use the spray bottle instead of the iron's steam function.
