Pinch tab (common on newer beam blades): two plastic ears on the connector; squeeze and slide the blade off the arm's pin. Do not twist the arm. If nothing moves with moderate force, you have a third style — stop and read the sheet in the new blade bag.
The old rubber may leave a dirty film on your hands. That is normal. Compare the new connector to the old one in your hand before you throw the old blade in the bin. If the new one is 2 cm longer, you bought the wrong length. Return it. Do not 'make it work' and chew the A-pillar gasket.
