Otherwise the owner's manual, or measure the old metal spine in inches or millimetres while the blade is off. A typical compact sedan might be 26" driver / 17" passenger, or 24"/18", or two 24" blades. Installing a 26" on a 24" arm lets the blade hit the other side or the A-pillar.
Buy the connector type that matches, not just the length. Take a phone photo of the old hook before you leave the parts aisle. 'Universal' adapters in the box are fine if they click like the old one. A blade that needs five adapters and still wiggles is the wrong blade.
