Free food & cooking tip: Honey-lemon dressing and gentle toss (step 7 of 11 from "Jam, Fruit Salad, and Fresh Juice in One Afternoon").
Drain apple cubes, pat dry. In the large bowl: juice of half a lemon, 2 Tbsp honey, pinch of salt, mint torn by hand if you have it. Stir dressing until honey dissolves — microwave honey 10 seconds if it is crystallized.
Add firm fruit first, toss gently with two spoons. Soft berries and banana last, 10 minutes before eating. You want coated fruit, not a puddle at the bottom. Taste — add more lemon if it is flat, more honey if tart fruit fights you.
You'll need
- Apples acid-soaked then dried
- Dressing dissolved
