Clearing the light fixes it?

No. It turns the bulb off until the fault happens again.

Tighten the cap until it clicks, drive a few trips. If it returns, the cap seal or a hose may be next.

Active misfire. Unburned fuel can melt a catalytic converter. Stop if you can.

Port location is boring and that is a gift. You don't need a lift for this step.

01Find the port

Usually under the dash, driver's side, left of the steering column. Key on. Some live data needs the engine running.

Write every code down before you clear anything. Screenshot the app. 'I think it was a P0-something' is how you buy the wrong part twice.

02Stored, pending, freeze frame

Pending may go away. Confirmed with the light on is stored. Freeze frame is a snapshot: rpm, load, coolant temp when it failed. A misfire at idle is a different hunt than a misfire at highway load.
