Free fishing tip: Through the eye, wrap, back through the small loop, then the big loop (step 4 of 5 from "Three Fishing Knots That Hold").

Tag through the lure eye. Wrap the tag around the standing line 5–6 times toward you. Pass the tag through the little loop next to the eye, then through the big loop you just made (that second pass is the improved part). Wet. Pull standing line.

Four turns on thick mono can hold; thin line wants five or six. If it looks like a spring that never closed, you skipped the big loop.
