01Write the sentence

Fill this in: I write [format] for [type of company] so they can [result]. Example: I write onboarding email sequences for B2B SaaS so trial users activate in week one.

If you cannot name the format (landing page, case study, newsletter), you do not have a niche yet. 'I like writing' is not a market.

02Check that people pay

Search that phrase on job boards and LinkedIn. If nobody is hiring, widen one notch (SaaS → B2B software). If every listing is $20 for 1,000 words of junk, niche down until the briefs sound like businesses, not content mills.

Write 40 company names into a sheet: website, contact if you can find one, what is weak on their site. That sheet is the course homework.
